Sports Tech is committed to protecting the privacy, confidentiality, and security of all members within the Sports Technology Community (“Community”).
We guarantee that:
- We will never sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
- We will never share member information with vendors, sponsors, advertisers, or third parties for their own use.
- Vendors are not permitted to join or view the internal member ecosystem.
- You always control whether you engage with any vendor in external, clearly separated spaces.
2. Information We Collect
We collect only the minimum information needed to operate the Community and verify member eligibility. This may include:
- Name
- Work email address
- Professional role and team or league affiliation
- Basic usage data required for platform operations and security
- Optional profile details you choose to provide
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information unless you voluntarily submit it.
3. How We Use Your Information
Your information is used strictly to:
- Verify membership eligibility and manage account access
- Assign you to appropriate league, team, chapter, and functional Spaces
- Facilitate communication and collaboration with other members
- Maintain platform security, integrity, and compliance
- Improve the functionality, reliability, and structure of the Community
We do not use your information for advertising, targeted marketing, or outbound sales activity.
4. Vendors, Partners & Access Boundaries
Vendors support the ecosystem, but they remain outside of the internal Community. Our rules around vendor access are strict and non-negotiable.
4.1 What Vendors Cannot Do
Vendors are not allowed to:
- Join internal member Spaces
- View internal posts, messages, or documents
- Access member directories or profile lists
- Send unsolicited communications inside the internal ecosystem
There is zero vendor visibility into the internal Sports Tech member environment.
4.2 External Vendor Spaces
If vendors engage with the Community, they do so through separate, external Spaces that are clearly labeled and optional for members.
- Joining any vendor Space is 100% opt-in.
- Your identity and participation are visible only if you choose to join.
- You may leave vendor Spaces at any time.
- Vendor Spaces are isolated and cannot access internal member areas.
5. Data Sharing
We do not share member data with vendors, advertisers, data brokers, marketing firms, or other third parties for their independent use.
Data may be disclosed only when:
- Required by law, regulation, or valid legal process; or
- Necessary to protect the security, integrity, or rights of members or Sports Tech; or
- You explicitly consent to or request a specific interaction or introduction.
6. Your Rights & Choices
As a member, you have the right to:
- Review and update your account or profile information
- Request deletion of your account, subject to any legal obligations
- Opt out of any external vendor engagement
- Ask questions about how your data is handled
- Report concerns or suspected violations of this policy
